With a background in advertising, publishing and the charity sector, Anne joined Phab in 1999 as Fundraising & Events Officer before taking on the role of Chief Operations Officer. Anne is responsible for the safe and successful delivery of Phab’s annual programme of projects and the development of Phab’s club network. This is only made possible by having the most passionate, skilled and committed team of staff, members and volunteers who together create the very special organisation that Phab is today.
Rebecca Hargreaves BA (Hons) PGDip
After graduating university with a degree in Community and Youth Studies and a Post Graduate Diploma in Health Studies, Rebecca worked in a variety of social care and youth work settings. She joined Phab in 1999 and has held many roles over the years including Community Development Worker and Head of Fieldwork. Since being appointed National Projects Manager she has planned, designed, developed and delivered a wide range of projects that are accessible for everyone.
Janine joined Phab in 2002 after arranging a fundraising event for the Charity. She joined as Publications Officer, progressing to South East Regional Officer and in 2013 took up the role of National Club Development Officer. Janine is responsible for Phab’s club network and works closely with schools who host ‘Phab Weeks’. She is dedicated to opening more Phab clubs, especially clubs within universities. Her role also includes organising regional and national events, producing the Phab magazine ‘Keeping in Touch’ and leading a Phab residential holiday each summer.
Janice has been the part-time Fundraising Officer at Phab since 2011, working largely with Charitable Trusts and major funders such as BBC Children in Need. She has worked in the voluntary sector since 1997, originally managing two locally based charities for ten years and then moving to focus on fundraising. That experience has included working with homeless and disadvantaged young people and people with disabilities, developing new projects from scratch and securing funding from a range of sources; from the Big Lottery Fund to local community grants.
Heather joined Phab’s staff over thirty years ago as Secretary to the Birmingham–based Midlands Regional Officer. Twelve years later, when the Regional Office closed, she continued in a general support role undertaking fundraising and club liaison, before being appointed as the home-based Midlands Regional Officer. Since then her role and responsibilities have increased to include new club start-ups, regional conferences and the organisation of Fun Days/Weekends and multi-club holidays.
